Salat was a family company, already producing Olive Oil as long ago 1927. The high quality of Salat Olive Oil made the company leader in many Central and South American countries. Not only was there a bond of friendship between Don Francisco Salat and the Ballester family, owners of the Spanish Olive Oil company of international prestige, but they were also united in the common constant search for an exceptional product. For this reason, in 1982, Ballester began distribuiting Salat Olive Oil as their own brand. Care was taken to maintain the high quality of the product. The name of Salat, of course, has been kept.
